FIVE-TERM A-LEVEL COURSE
Our Five-Term A-Level course begins in January of Year 12 and finishes with the standard summer examinations at the end of Year 13. It is designed for students moving after one term elsewhere, joining from overseas or beginning after the usual September intake.
Students cover the first-year content across two terms before completing Year 13 at the standard pace. Classes average seven, giving teachers time to adapt lessons, address gaps quickly and provide regular individual support.
Across the College in 2025, 65.1% of A-level grades were A*–A and 87.7% were A*–B. We are Birmingham’s #1 independent sixth form for value added, with 72.7% of students progressing to Russell Group universities and a 96% Medicine and Dentistry offer success rate.

How The Structure Works
Students begin in January of Year 12 and study three or four A levels across five terms. The first-year content is covered over the two remaining terms of Year 12, with additional teaching and support built into the timetable. Students then complete Year 13 at the standard pace and sit their final examinations the following summer. Any previous study is reviewed before admission to ensure the subjects and workload are appropriate.subjects offered in any combination that suits them.

Students can study three or four A-Level subjects from those offered by the College. We review your chosen combination, previous study and workload before admission.
You will sit the full A-Level examinations in the standard May–June examination period at the end of Year 13, receiving the same qualifications as students on a two-year programme.
